I am a dreaded American, but while I am, I'm many other things as well. One being, I do not stand with Bush, I want all people to be free, but this war that began on my son's birthday, 5 yrs. ago has sickened me in ways that have taken it's toll on my soul, my being; far too great is the loss of "All Life".

I cried for the country of Pakistan, for the stolen life of Bhutto, for her family, for the people whose lives hang in uncertainty as the elections near, as the riots break out, as more people lose their lives. I contemplate what Benazir Bhutto would say if her voice had not been silenced, as her hearst passed burning buses, rioting, on her way to her place of rest.

I too, am angry Benazir Bhutto's life was taken from her; all for what, that she wanted a better life for her people, her country, herself. Everyone is entitled, or should be, freely given that, if nothing else, to be safe, to speak their minds to decide what is best for themselves and their families without a word of another to enforce otherwise.

I don't understand the Taliban, Al-Qaida. Why don't these people within those groups want the very same? Why do they have to want it all? How does one pray religiously many times per day, then turn around and kill those who want nothing more than peace and a better life? Nothing can be resolved with war, it leaves behind a river of pain, loss and darn near shatters ones hope.

I wonder, when is God going to state, "This is absolutely enough and step in and halt all turmoil, all killing, any ideas that suicide bombers are in for a treat upon completing a mission; they are going to hell. There will be no vestle of 40 virgins and even if there were, they would not be for one who takes life, perhaps for those that give their lives so that another could live.

I believe moreso, it would be an eye for an eye; you will receive what you have provided to this world.

I am saddened, sickened that Bhutto was shot down in her prime. She was a very well-spoken woman with a longing for hope and no one should die for trying to secure a better life for her country and people.

If she were able to speak now, I would think she would wish the riots to cease and have all her people regroup, stand together in harmony and find a peaceful way to achieve their democracy. Burning riots, destruction and killing her in memory I should think, would make her weep.

May your suffering and loss somehow find a peace and growth toward what Benazir Bhutto was trying to provide unto you. May God hear your prayers.

To Alicia....Most if not all muslims believe what you quoted from Daniel...but we also believe that it would be a muslim kingdom and not a christian one. But with the situation of the world stands neither muslim nor chritian nor any other adherence of thought can generate the kingdom described in daniel....it may happen in another generation another time...

What has happened in Pakistan today, with reference to benazir, no God fearing man could have done something as horrible or tragic. Whoever did this must be a human of the most horrible kind.

Pakistan is a great country with great potential but tonight, it burns.

It's a horribly sad thing that has happened. One tends to feel directionless with such atrocities happening to those taking the lead in government.

We look to government to be fair and provide stability for us, however, in this world gone awry that seems impossible.

There is one thought I'd like to share with you. It's from the Book of Daniel: (Daniel 2:44) 44 "And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;

God promises to eradicate all these false kingdoms and set up His own where such atrocities will never occur. In the Book of Revelation He also says: (Revelation 21:4) 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.. . .

I pray that this note finds you well and touches your heart. There is a hope for our future!
