HOSTAGE HELPLINE

Among the hostages taken by terrorists at the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels are some Brazilian nationals.

A helpline number for information on them is +91 98206 86143

STOCK ECHANGES CLOSED, ARMY STORMING THE TAJ

The stock markets in Mumbai have been closed by Securities and Exchange Board of India. Apart from the fact that the terrorist siege continues at the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels, there's probably a fear that there might be a meltdown at the stock markets if they were allowed to open on Tursday.

The Army has begun its rescue operation at the Taj Hotel as soon as 100 people trapped in various rooms at the Taj were rescued. The terrorists still hold hostages at the Taj. The central dome of the Taj is on fire.

3 terrorists have been killed at the Taj overnight. 5 foreign nationals are being held among other hostages at the Oberoi hotel at Nariman Point.
