arZan is absolutely ... correct! cnn pundits are often filling airtime with crap, just thinking off the top of their heads. he is aso right that the government response to hurricane katrina was terrible, criminal in fact.

i study early warning systems and there are some things that cannot be identified suchh as a committed terrorist attack. what does surprise me is that somewhere there was no inkling that this was in the works. no intercepted emails or cell phone messaes. etc.

another blogger was also correct. these guys called terrorists were cowards; killing innocent people mostly indians. most people will now have had the opposite response to what the terrorists wanted to achieve. mumbai will continue. foreigners will visit. life will go on, except fothe unfortunate victims. i could care less what the government does with the bodies of the terrorists. mickey

This morning, one of the more obnoxious US commentators, Pat Buchanan, started his segment on the disaster by staying "This is a great tragedy for the United States."

WTF? Way to be completely oblivious to other countries, Pat. It's really not always about US.

Thanks for your blog, I am really enjoying your perspectives.

OMG, I was shocked when I saw that News Reader started commenting on one camera angle. She was acting more of an expert than the so called guest expert they had. It was only a pragmatic action by the commando. But there are many more comments I have heard which CNN is making without having any context of the city like Mumbai.

Exactly, "asshole" is the exact term for these so-called experts. Sometimes I wonder why the american media cannot just find real experts in the countries where they are trying to find information. Why do they always find these so-called "experts" who probably have never been outside of the United States? This is revolting to say the least!!
