Pro-reservation demonstration at Azad Maidan.
I thought this protest at Azad Maidan was in protest of the laathi charge by the Mumbai police on the students protesting reservations outside Raj Bhavan on Saturday. I was late, so what I witnessed was a pro-reservation demonstration.

He says the OBCs must be uplifted, and his party will do everything they can to implement the quota.
And he claims the doctors weren’t laathi charged.
And they ensure no untoward incident happens
And they listen
And they hold their banners high
And yet Sachin lives at CST Station earning Rs 5 each day.
Does he go to school? He doesn’t have a caste certificate. And we don’t have reservations in primary education!
We are the only country that believes in affirmative action when it comes to higher education and no action when it comes to primary education.

Reservation for higher education does not make sense… It ends up hurting the merit guyz.
But for primary education… Its a hell must…
Arjun Singh must bring resrvation in primary education and also in private primary/high schools…
First let him bring reservations there and talk about affirmative action in India Inc., Private Sector, Higher education etc etc…
Why do such people get elected in the first place? Its we who cast our vote. But how many of us are educated(not literate) in this country to think in those lines? phew.. a very small percentage.
I don’t understand how does reservation or the so called affirmative action benifit kids like Sachin? Its a cheap gimmick to attract vote bank… shame on Arjun Singh!
hey…I am an engineering student frm Mumbai.I think as many of u people do tht reservations are just a vote gathering stunt. The indian politcians do not think for the developement of the nation. What matters to them is how many votes they need to get re elected in the next electons. After another ten years the quota will go up by another 10%. In the end it will be the open categorys which will be supressed.
Maybe the politicians should start by implementing a 50% reservation in the parliament for the backward class. That wont hurt the nation because anyway all the politicians are the same so no question of merit arises there!
I request all the people who read this to think for themselves and if they feel then support the the cause of the thousands of students all over the country against reservations.
