The Strand Book Fair
It is time to stock up on those books again – with over 40,000 titles of display and amazing discounts to boot one can not afford to miss The Strand Book Fair. I was there last year and I completely lost picked up way to many books and had to be dragged out kicking and screaming. In my opinion for anyone in the vicinity of Bombay, the book fair is an absolute must visit.

I myself am a fanatic of the book fair, i have to have at least 2-3 trips coz i can’t carry all the books i want at one go. next trip i take my dad, my walking talking ATM, bribe him into picking some books so that i can get some more…The best way to spend my money…

Now I’ll just have to go and pick up more books than I should afford, or read for that matter. If it’s going to be like the previous Strand sale it’s going to be an expensive trip lasting several hours. Thanks for the tip, I think. :)
I love book fairs. Sadly, I am not in Mumbai right now, so will miss this one. But I have attended one before. Actually, just last week, I attended one in my local town library, where there were around 40K books (both hardcover and paperback) on sale, from categories like fiction, non-fiction, religion, military, sports, humour, literature, science, politics, biographies, children, how-to’s, cookbooks, health, romance, sci-fi ….just abt anything. And so dirt cheap…the cost was like 25 cents or something.
i have been to Strand book fairs in past … and they are great, so many books to choose from, even if you dont have anything particular to buy.. you will still manage to find something for you, i agree.. its a must visit for everyone in mumbai who loves books.
